BRONX, NY - A dispute onboard a Bronx bus led to a couple engaging in a 2 on 1 beat down of a passenger. Now cops are asking for the public’s help to find the man and woman in this attack,
According to police, the assault happened on Friday, March 6, 2026, at around 10:00 pm onboard a northbound BX36 bus near West 177th Street and West Tremont Avenue. Investigators say a 32-year-old woman became involved in a verbal dispute with two unidentified individuals. What started as an argument quickly escalated into violence.
Authorities report that both suspects repeatedly punched the victim across her body during the confrontation. The attack occurred in a confined public transit setting, raising concerns about “NYC bus passenger safety incidents” and “public transportation assaults in the Bronx.” After the assault, the two individuals fled the bus on foot and disappeared in an unknown direction.
The victim suffered minor injuries but declined medical attention at the scene. While her injuries were not considered life-threatening, the incident highlights ongoing concerns about “unprovoked attacks on NYC buses” and the safety of late-night commuters.
The case is now being investigated within the 46th Precinct, and the NYPD has released images of the suspects in hopes that someone from the public will recognize them. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing how critical community tips can be in cases like this.
