NYPD Seeks Three Suspects in Bronx BX9 Bus Robbery Involving 14-Year-Old Near West 231 Street

BRONX, NY - Cops are looking for trio of muggers who robbed a teen both inside and outside a bus in the Bronx.


According to police, the Bronx robbery on MTA BX9 bus involving a teenager took place at approximately 5:07 p.m.  on March 26, near West 231 Street and Broadway. A 14-year-old boy was riding a westbound BX9 bus when three individuals approached him and quickly escalated the situation.





Investigators say the three suspects surrounded victim on BX9 bus near West 231 Street Broadway before one of them displayed a knife and demanded the teen’s belongings. The situation did not end when the victim got off the bus. Instead, the suspects followed him, turning a frightening encounter into a more serious crime.


Police reports indicate that the armed robbery continued off the bus, where one of the suspects forcibly removed approximately $40 from the victim’s pocket. Despite the alarming nature of the incident, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported.



After the robbery, the suspects fled on foot westbound on West 231 Street toward Kingsbridge Avenue Bronx robbery and have not yet been apprehended.


The NYPD has released descriptions to help identify the individuals involved. The first suspect was last seen wearing a red jacket, black sweater, black ski mask, and black hat. 


The second suspect was described as wearing a black sweater, black pants, and carrying a multicolored book bag. 


Meanwhile, the third suspect was last seen in a black sweater, red sweatpants, a black ski mask, and also carrying a multicolored book bag.
