Slashed for $40 - Robbers Attack Man in his Bronx Building

BRONX, NY - A Bronx man was slashed for $40 inside his apartment building and now cops are asking for the public’s help to catch the violent robbers.


On Sunday, April 5, 2026, at approximately 4:00 pm, a 54-year-old man was followed into a residential building and robbed at knifepoint.





According to police reports, the victim was approached by two individuals who demanded his property in a Bronx residential building robbery. One of the suspects displayed a knife, slashed the victim’s arm, and forcibly took his wallet containing $40, an identification card, and credit cards. 


The suspects then fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on Grand Concourse. EMS responded promptly, and the victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.





The NYPD has released detailed descriptions of the two wanted individuals to help the public and local authorities identify them. The first suspect is a male, who was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black ski mask, black sunglasses, black sweatpants, and dark-colored sneakers. 


The second suspect is a male, last seen wearing a black head scarf, brown sweatshirt, black jeans, and black and yellow sneakers.





Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects to contact the NYPD immediately. Tips can be reported anonymously and could be crucial in apprehending the individuals involved in this violent Bronx residential building robbery.


Residents in the area are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Law enforcement emphasizes that public awareness and cooperation play a key role in keeping neighborhoods safe.
