BRONX, NY - The NYPD released new photos of the man, they believed, shot up a Bronx woman’s door to her house. No motive for the unnerving crime has been released so far. 


Police say the incident happened on Monday, April 6, 2026, at approximately 11:23 pm near East 205 Street and Lisbon Place, near Mosholu Parkway. According to reports, a 48-year-old woman was inside her home when an unidentified individual discharged a firearm, striking her front door and causing property damage.



Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Still, the situation has left residents shaken and searching for answers.


This case is now being treated as a bold reckless endangerment shooting incident in Bronx residential neighborhood, and investigators are working to identify the person responsible.


Authorities say the suspect approached the residence and fired a shot that hit the front door before fleeing the scene. The individual then ran westbound along East 205 Street. 





Residents in the area are understandably concerned, especially given the proximity to homes and the potential risk involved.


The NYPD has shared a description of the individual they are looking for. The suspect is described as a male who was last seen wearing a black face mask, black sweatshirt, black sweatpants and black sneakers.


At this time, no further identifying details have been released. Investigators are hoping that someone may recognize the individual based on surveillance footage or the clothing description.
