Raising Cane - Man Beaten with Baton in Morris Park

BRONX, NY - Cops are looking for a man in a silver Volvo who hopped out of the SUV to beat a man with a baton on a Morris Park street in broad daylight.
Police say the assault occurred on Friday, March 6, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m. outside 680 Morris Park Avenue in the Bronx. Investigators are now trying to locate the unidentified individual believed to be responsible for the attack.
According to the NYPD, a 22-year-old male victim was standing in front of 680 Morris Park Avenue, near the Golden Eagle II Diner, when a suspect arrived in a silver Volvo SUV.
Authorities say the unidentified man exited the vehicle, approached the victim, and struck him multiple times in the head with an unknown object.
The attack left the victim with a laceration to the head, police said.
After the assault, the suspect returned to the silver Volvo SUV and fled the area, heading to parts unknown.
Officials said the injured victim was taken by private means to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, a major trauma center in the Bronx.
He was reported to be in stable condition following the incident.
Police released a description of the individual they are attempting to identify in connection with the Bronx assault investigation near Morris Park Avenue.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion who is in his 40s. He has a medium build and black hair.
At the time of the incident, he was last seen wearing a brown jacket, gray pants and brown boots
Authorities also noted the suspect arrived and fled in a silver Volvo SUV.
The NYPD is urging anyone who may have information about the suspect involved in the assault outside 680 Morris Park Avenue in the Bronx to come forward.
Even small details, such as surveillance footage, dash camera video, or information about the silver Volvo SUV, could help investigators identify the individual involved.
