BRONX, NY - The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals connected to a pattern of moped robberies in the Bronx’s 52nd Precinct, following four reported incidents over two separate days.

According to police, the suspects—who travel together on a moped—have been targeting pedestrians and forcibly stealing chains and necklaces in what authorities describe as a coordinated Bronx jewelry snatching pattern involving a moped.

Investigators say the incidents occurred on February 28, 2026, and March 7, 2026, with victims ranging in age from 17 to 32 years old. In each case, the suspects approached quickly, often from behind, before grabbing jewelry and fleeing the scene.

This emerging pattern highlights growing concerns around moped-assisted robberies in the Bronx, a tactic that allows suspects to strike quickly and escape before police can respond.

The first reported robbery took place at approximately 2:25 pm in front of 3360 Hull Avenue. A 25-year-old woman was approached from behind by two individuals riding a moped. Police say the suspects forcibly removed her necklace before fleeing southbound on Hull Avenue. The victim suffered minor neck injuries but did not require hospitalization.

Just over 20 minutes later, a second robbery was reported near East 206 Street. A 17-year-old male victim was pushed into a fence by the same pair of suspects. During this incident, one of the individuals displayed a firearm before forcibly taking the victim’s chain. The suspects then fled westbound. The victim sustained minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

The pattern continued on March 7.

At around 5:50 pm, a 22-year-old woman near University Avenue and West 183 Street was approached by the suspects on a moped. Her necklace was forcibly removed before the suspects fled southbound.

Just minutes later, at approximately 5:55 pm, a 32-year-old woman in front of 2821 Briggs Avenue was attacked. Police say the suspects physically struggled with her, struck her arms, and stole two chains before fleeing to an unknown location. She sustained minor injuries.

Authorities believe the same individuals are responsible for all four robberies, forming a repeat moped robbery pattern in the Bronx 52nd Precinct.

The NYPD has released media related to the investigation and is urging anyone with information to come forward. Even small details could help identify the suspects involved in these chain snatching robberies in the Bronx involving a moped.

Residents in the area are also encouraged to remain aware of their surroundings, especially when walking alone or wearing visible jewelry.

The investigation remains active as police work to track down those responsible. The repeated nature of these incidents suggests a targeted approach, and authorities are working to prevent additional robberies.

As moped-related crimes continue to surface across parts of New York City, this case underscores the importance of public awareness and timely reporting.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
