BRONX, NY - A pair of violent thugs traumatized a tween by ripping chains off her neck in broad daylight on Valentine’s Day.
According to the NYPD, the incident happened on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at approximately 12:20 p.m., directly in front of 1277 Stratford Avenuein Soundview. Investigators say two unidentified individuals approached the young victim, pushed her against a wall, and forcibly removed two necklaces from her neck before fleeing the scene.
Police reports indicate the suspects acted quickly. The 12-year-old victim was standing outside the location when the two individuals allegedly confronted her. After pushing her against a wall, they forcibly removed her jewelry and fled westbound on East 172 Street.
The victim sustained redness and pain to her neck as a result of the incident. Officers transported her to the 43 Precinct, where she was treated by EMS. Thankfully, the injuries reported were not life-threatening.
