Teen Slashed on Bus with Box Cutter

BRONX, NY - Cops are looking for the person who slashed a teen with a boxcutter while riding a busy MTA bus through Fordham Road. Investigators have released new video of the suspect.
According to police, the incident took place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at approximately 7:45 p.m. aboard a BX12 MTA bus traveling near Valentine Avenue and East Fordham Road in the Bronx.
Authorities report that a 17-year-old male was riding the bus when an unidentified individual suddenly displayed a box cutter and attacked him. The suspect allegedly slashed the teen in the hand and neck before quickly exiting the bus.
The attacker then fled the scene on foot, disappearing into the surrounding neighborhood. As of now, no arrests have been made in the Bronx bus slashing case.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the assault was reported. EMS transported the injured teen to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
While the injuries were serious, officials say the victim is expected to recover following the teen slashed on NYC bus incident.
Police have released a limited description of the individual they are trying to identify. The suspect is described as a male who was last seen wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask.
