Bronx Burglars Take Golf Cart for Joy Ride at Riverdale School

BRONX, NY - Cops are looking for a pair of burglars who broke into Riverdale school and crashed a golf cart into a tree on school grounds.



According to police, the burglary happened on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m. at Riverdale Country School, located at 1 Spaulding Lane in the Bronx, within the confines of the 50th Precinct.


Authorities say two unidentified individuals gained access to the school by forcibly opening a rear door, entering the educational facility without permission. Once inside, things took an unusual turn.





Police report that the suspects removed a golf cart from the property and drove it around the school grounds. The situation escalated when the individuals crashed the golf cart into a tree, causing damage before abandoning it.


In addition to the golf cart incident, the suspects also stole a basketball and a walkie-talkie radio, items that were taken from the school during the break-in.


After the crash and theft, both individuals fled the scene on foot to parts unknown, and have not yet been identified.





The NYPD has released descriptions of the two individuals involved in the Riverdale school burglary:

The first suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes. 


The second suspect is a  male with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, white shirt, black pants, and black shoes.





At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.


Police are urging anyone who may have information about this Bronx school burglary, stolen golf cart incident, or the identity of the suspects to come forward.
