NYPD Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Two Suspects in Glass Bottle Assault Near East 176th Street in the Bronx

BRONX, NY - A customer was viciously attacked inside a Bronx bodega: he was stabbed in the back with a broken glass bottle and struck upside the head with another bottle from a different attacker, cops said.
The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals wanted in connection with a violent assault inside a commercial establishment on East 176th Street in the Bronx earlier this month.
According to the NYPD 46th Precinct, the incident occurred within the confines of the precinct on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Police say a 28-year-old man was inside a commercial establishment located at 124 East 176 Street when two unidentified individuals approached him. What began as a dispute quickly escalated into a verbal dispute that turned into a violent glass bottle assault in a Bronx business.
During the altercation, one of the suspects allegedly used a broken glass bottle to stab the victim in the back, while the second suspect reportedly struck the victim in the face with another glass bottle during the assault involving a broken glass bottle inside a Bronx commercial establishment.
Authorities say the attack happened suddenly, leaving the victim injured before the suspects fled the scene.
After the assault, the two individuals ran from the location on foot. Investigators say they were last seen entering the 174–175 Streets subway station in the Bronx after fleeing an East 176th Street assault.
Detectives are now working to identify the individuals and are asking anyone who may recognize them from released images to come forward as part of the ongoing NYPD investigation into the Bronx glass bottle assault near East 176th Street.
Emergency medical personnel responded quickly to the scene following the assault. The victim was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after the violent stabbing and bottle attack reported in the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.
Police have not released the victim’s identity.
Authorities provided the following descriptions of the individuals sought in connection with the Bronx assault involving two suspects armed with glass bottles: The first suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, multicolored pants and white sneakers.
The second suspect was last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Investigators believe both individuals may have been in the area prior to the dispute connected to the violent altercation inside a Bronx business on East 176th Street.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives from the New York City Police Department continue to search for the suspects involved in the Bronx glass bottle assault near the 174–175 Streets subway station.
