BRONX, NY - The sound of a hail of bullets by being fired woke residents of Charlotte Gardens during an early morning shooting. The NYPD has released photos of the suspected gunmen but do not know who his intended target was and there have been no verified reports of a victim.
According to police, the incident happened in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at approximately 1:21 a.m., within the confines of the NYPD 42nd Precinct. Authorities say an unidentified individual discharged a firearm multiple times near Jennings Street and Louis Nine Boulevard, raising serious safety concerns in the surrounding neighborhood.
Police reports indicate that the suspect opened fire in a public area, an act that could have resulted in serious injuries or worse. Fortunately, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in connection with the shooting.
After firing multiple rounds, the individual fled the scene on foot. Investigators say the suspect was last seen heading northbound on Charlotte Street, and efforts to track him down are ongoing.
