BRONX, NY - Police are investigating an assault that left a 66-year-old man injured Wednesday night outside an apartment building in the Bronx, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, inside 225 West 232 Street, when the victim was leaving the building, police said. An unidentified individual reportedly approached the man and initiated a verbal dispute that quickly escalated into violence.
Authorities say the suspect punched the victim multiple times in the face before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Emergency Medical Services responded to the location and treated the victim at the scene for minor injuries. The victim declined further medical attention.
The suspect is described as a light-complexioned male with a slim build and long hair. At the time of the assault, he was last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking anyone with information regarding the assault or the identity of the suspect to come forward.
This Bronx assault investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
