According to NYPD officials, the robbery took place on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., in front of 415 East 139 Street in the Bronx. A 45-year-old woman was walking along the street when she was suddenly approached by an unidentified individual.

Police say the suspect forcibly removed a chain from the victim’s neck before fleeing the scene. The individual ran eastbound on East 139 Street on foot, disappearing into the surrounding area. Fortunately, no injuries were reportedas a result of the incident.
