BRONX, NY — A group of divas robbed a Bronx wig store with a hammer, cops said. After trying on wigs and posing in front of mirrors, the crooks tried to run out with the merch and that’s when things got dicey.
According to police, the incident happened on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 9:45 a.m., inside a commercial establishment located at 53 West Fordham Road.
Investigators report that three unidentified individuals entered the store and removed merchandise from the shelves. Store surveillance video shows the group trying on the merch and strutting like they were runway models.

When the individuals allegedly attempted to leave without paying, a 25-year-old female store employee approached them.
At that point, police say, two of the suspects displayed a hammer and threatened the employee before fleeing the location.
All three individuals ran westbound on West Fordham Road. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
