BRONX LOCAL NEWS - The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying multiple suspects connected to a growing robbery pattern in the Bronx and Queens involving two-wheeled vehicles, according to police sources. Investigators say at least 18 related incidents have been reported across several NYPD precincts, with victims ranging in age from 16 to 62 years old.

Authorities released images and video of the suspects and are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.

A Pattern of Scooter Robberies in the Bronx and Queens

According to the NYPD, the suspects typically approach victims while riding scooters or other two-wheeled vehicles, quickly grabbing jewelry before fleeing the scene. In several cases, police say the suspects displayed knives or firearms, escalating the seriousness of the crimes.

Most incidents occurred during daylight and early evening hours, a detail investigators believe is significant when analyzing the robbery pattern.

Timeline of Reported Incidents

Police say the first reported incident occurred on September 6, 2025, near White Plains Road in the Bronx, where a 27-year-old man was allegedly punched and threatened with knives by three individuals on scooters.

From there, reports steadily increased throughout October and into November, with clusters of incidents in:

  • The 49th, 47th, 48th, 50th, and 52nd Precincts in the Bronx

  • The 108th Precinct in Queens

Several robberies took place minutes apart on the same day, particularly on October 14 and October 29, suggesting coordinated activity.

What Was Taken — and How

Police report that the suspects primarily targeted:

  • Gold chains

  • Rings and bracelets

  • Glasses

  • Cash (including one incident involving $1,500)

In most cases, victims reported no physical injuries, though some were punched or threatened. Several victims declined medical attention at the scene.

In two incidents, suspects attempted robberies but fled without taking property.

Firearms Displayed in Multiple Incidents

The NYPD confirmed that firearms were displayed in at least four incidents, including:

  • October 17 in Queens

  • October 21 and October 29 in the Bronx

While no shots were fired, police say the presence of a weapon significantly raises the urgency of identifying those responsible.

Latest Incident: Suspects Flee on Foot

The most recent reported case occurred on November 21, 2025, near Bedford Park Boulevard and Jerome Avenue. Police say two suspects knocked a victim to the ground while stealing gold chains, then fell off their scooter during the escape and fled on foot.

Investigators are reviewing nearby surveillance footage and believe this incident could be key to identifying the group.

NYPD Asks for Public Assistance

The NYPD is urging anyone who recognizes the individuals shown in the released media, or anyone who may have witnessed these incidents, to contact Crime Stoppers. Tips can be provided anonymously.

Police stress that even small details — such as scooter type, clothing, or direction of travel — may help break the case.

This ongoing investigation highlights concerns about street robberies involving scooters in New York City, a trend law enforcement agencies continue to monitor. Officials say public awareness and community cooperation are essential in stopping repeat offenders.

As the NYPD continues its investigation into this Bronx and Queens robbery pattern, more updates are expected.
