Toy Drive for Bronx Children Runs Until December 15

BRONX LOCAL NEWS - The holiday spirit was on full display in the Bronx this week as the Bronx Chamber of Commerce teamed up with Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education for their Annual Holiday Toy Drive. 

The celebration took place during the Bronx Chamber’s December 4th Holiday Party—an event filled with local business leaders, community changemakers, and supporters who share a common goal: making the holiday season brighter for Bronx children and families.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by a growing mountain of new, unwrapped toys donated by Chamber members and community partners. These toys will soon make their way to the young people served by Casita Maria, an organization known for its deep roots in arts education, youth empowerment, and community development.

Among the attendees were Bronx Chamber President Lisa Sorin and Casita Maria Executive Director Felix Urrutia, along with members of Casita Maria’s dedicated program staff. Together with local business leaders, they reinforced a shared commitment to supporting children across the borough.

The toy drive is more than a holiday tradition—it’s part of the Bronx Chamber’s long-standing mission to uplift and invest in the next generation.

Sorin expressed heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of community support:

“We are proud to partner with Casita Maria this year and deeply grateful to our members and supporters who continue to step up for Bronx families. The holidays can be especially challenging for many of the children Casita Maria serves, and this toy drive is a reminder of how powerful our business community can be when we come together with generosity and purpose.”

Casita Maria’s Executive Director, Felix Urrutia, shared similar appreciation:

The toy drive isn’t over—Bronx residents, businesses, and supporters still have time to make an impact.

Toy donations will be accepted through December 15, 2025 at participating Bronx Chamber business locations. Community members are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys to help ensure children throughout the borough experience holiday joy.
