Thousands of Bronx Residents Went to Yankee Stadium to Receive Food Vouchers for the Holiday

BRONX LOCAL NEWS - The New York Yankees and Krasdale Foods teamed up to host their annual Thanksgiving Food Voucher Giveaway at Yankee Stadium. 

Approximately 4,000 $25 food vouchers were distributed to Bronx residents to assist local families in preparing their Thanksgiving meals. The vouchers may be redeemed at participating Bronx-based C-Town and Bravo supermarkets.

“I need it very much,” said local resident Letitia Martin. “It’s a good thing because it shows that they care about the community.”

“It’s a priority of our organization to work with our neighbors, our network of community based partners, our business partners to make a difference,” said Brian Smith - Senior Vice President, Corporate/Community Relations, New York Yankees. “These are our neighbors this is our community. We want to give back and work with our neighbors to promote change and spread and promote holiday cheer.”
