Police Searching for Four Suspects After a Robbery on Willis Avenue

BRONX LOCAL NEWS: A Bronx man was hit upside the head with a chair in broad daylight by a group of muggers who violently attacked and robbed him in the South Bronx.
The NYPD released surveillance video of four men suspected in the vicious mugging in Mott Haven last month.
At around 4 pm on September 25, a 21-year-old man was standing in front of 481 Willis Avenue in Mott Haven, near a church. The NYPD says four men ran up to the victim and began punching him in the head and throughout his body.
During the melee, one of the attackers grabbed a chair and smashed it into the victim’s head, crashing him to the ground. The group then stole the victim’s necklace, wallet, and cellphone before taking off.
Police say three of the suspects ran from the scene on foot, while the fourth got away on a scooter. All four were last seen heading southbound on Willis Avenue.
Cops said the victim somehow only received minor injuries.
Investigators describe the suspects as males with dark complexions.
The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact them. The last suspect was seen riding a red motorized scooter. He has short, dark hair with a mustache and goatee. He wore a white t-shirt, dark pants and black and white sneakers. He also wore a necklace and a turquoise backpack.
