BRONX LOCAL NEWS: A teenager received a prison-style beat down when a group of men beat and stomped him during a robbery in the Bronx.
The vicious beating happened in Mount Eden on October 27. At around 7 pm, a 16-year-old boy was walking in the vicinity of East 174th Street and Townsend Avenue when he was approached by a male. The man asked the teen to use his cell phone. When the teen refused the man punched him in the face causing the victim to fall to the ground.
While laying on the sidewalk, four of the attacker’s accomplice ran over and began punching and kicking the defenseless teen. The attackers yanked the phone out of the teen’s hands and pulled his sneakers off his feet.
The muggers then ran off in an unknown direction but not before their images were captured on street surveillance cameras. All five suspects were seen wearing dark clothing and black surgical masks.
