Two People Injured in Early-Morning Shooting on Briggs Avenue

BRONX LOCAL NEWS - The NYPD is searching for a female gunman who opened fire on a Bronx street wounding two people. Investigators would not disclose a motive for the shocking shooting.


According to police, the gunfire erupted just after midnight, around 12:08 a.m. on November 6, 2025 in front of 2561 Briggs Avenue. 


The NYPD released surveillance video of the female suspect wanted in the callous shooting across the street from the Fordham Road Library. 


An unidentified person reportedly opened fire, hitting a 27-year-old woman in the back and a 42-year-old man in the right hand.


Emergency crews rushed to the scene, and both victims were taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital. Authorities say they’re in stable condition and expected to recover.


The shooter took off on foot, heading east on Briggs Avenue, and has not yet been caught. 


Police describe the suspect as a woman with a medium complexion, slim build, and long hair. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and tan pants.
