BRONX - A man caught pantsless on surveillance video, has been charged in the attempted rape of a 70-year-old woman in the Bronx, cop said. 



The NYPD announced the arrest of 50-year-old Oswaldo Ramos in connection with a sexual assault on April 18. Ramos was charged with attempted rape in the first degree and burglary in the first degree.

Cops made an arrest after the release of a photo and surveillance video in connection with the attempted rape of an elderly woman. In the video the suspect is seen entering an apartment stairwell from the roof door. He wore a winter coat and hat but no pants and only one sock. The man was seen carrying his pants as he descended the stairs. 



A close up still of the suspect’s face was also released. 


At around 1 pm on April 18, a 70-year-old woman was approached from behind in the vicinity of Creston Avenue and East 184 Street. Cops said the man tried to rape the woman but fled. 


The NYPD today announced Ramos’ arrest and charges.
