BRONX - A duo of moped riding thieves, who are dressed like takeout deliverymen, robbed three people throughout the Bronx on New Year’s Eve, the NYPD said. 


Cops released surveillance video of the suspects who are seen riding on a dark colored moped. The passenger had a large square insulated food delivery bag on his back. 


At around 3:30 am on December 31, a 54-year-old man was in the vicinity of 150 West 179 Street in Morris Heights. Cops said two men on a moped rode up to the victim and one displayed a knife. They removed cash from the victim as well as the man’s eyeglasses. The duo then hopped back on the moped and drove off in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured. 



An hour later the pair struck again. At around 4:50 am they robbed a woman in Kingsbridge Heights. A 22-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of 2776 Webb Avenue when the moped rode up to her. The men jumped off the bike and one displayed a knife. They forcibly removed the woman’s jewelry and cash before fleeing on the moped. 


An hour later the crew struck a third and final time near a school in University Heights. At around 5:30 am, a 40-year-old male was standing on the corner of Aqueduct Avenue and West 182nd Street near PS 091. The robbers rode up and displayed a knife and took the man’s cash. 


None of the victim’s were injured during the robberies. 


The first suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, white and gray sneakers, and a delivery bag.


The second suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and dark colored sneakers.
