BRONX - A Brooklyn man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a 61-year-old inside the stairwell of the victim’s apartment building, the NYPD said.


Cops arrested 31-year-old Gregory Hightower of Brooklyn in connection with the stabbing death of 61-year-old Tyrone Padilla. Hightower has been charged with murder.

MANHATTAN - The dramatic crash that killed a passenger and turned a Lamborghini SUV into a fireball, has led to the driver being hit with murder charges, the NYPD said. 



At around 1:30 am on January 5, police responding to a 911 call at 2415 Creston Avenue, found 61-year-old Tyrone Padilla in the second-floor stairwell of the building. He was found with multiple stab wounds to the neck and torso. 


Padilla was rushed to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
