Bronx Music Center Hosts Spring Events

Music to Fill the Air at Bronx Center The Bronx Music Heritage Center will be holding a series of concerts and spring events. Massive Fire Burns Through 7 Stores in Bronx 

A massive fire ripped through seven stores in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx. -Citizen App

BRONX - Bronx residents awoke to a massive fire next door to their apartment building as a row of seven stores went up in flames. Scores of residents went to their fire escapes and to the streets to record the fire on Citizen App. 


FDNY officials said only one person was injured in the massive fire.  


According to the FDNY the fire started at around 3:30 am inside Bunny’s Deli Cold Cut City at West 231st Street and Broadway. Eyewitness News reported on a witness who claims the fire started at the back of the Kingsbridge deli.

Officials say 200 firefighters responded to the massive blaze that threatened to spread to an adjoining apartment building. Dramatic video shows firefighters on the cherry picker pouring water down into the stores and cutting off the spread of the blaze. Plumes of circling black and white smoke twisted along side of the occupied next door apartment building that was spared.

QUEENS - The NYPD released dramatic video of a gunman opening fire on a Queens street during a double shooting. One of the victims died and the other is recovering as police search for the gunman.

All seven stores have been gutted by the fire. The fronts of the stores are still standing but the interiors were gutted by fire and water damage.
