The bullet smashed through the front door of a phone store, thankfully no one was injured. Police officials say the incident was reported at 2 p.m. on November 7, outside of the Green Olive Deli, located at 716 Morris Park Avenue, at the corner of Hunt Avenue. Officials say the unknown gunman fired a single shot at a second individual and missed. The bullet flew across the street and through the front door of Metro by T-Mobile, at 723 Morris Park Avenue. Both the gunman and victim fled the scene on foot. No description of the gunman was

BRONX - The NYPD is investigating the mysterious death of a man who died in police custody inside a Bronx hospital.


The suspect had been arrested for head butting an EMT who tried to treat him. 


Police were originally called to a residence at 595 Prospect Avenue to assist EMS who was trying to treat a man. The Daily News is reporting the man had suffered injuries from a car crash.


Police arrived at the scene but EMS had already left to take the man to the hospital. However, the officers were called to meet the EMTs at Lincoln Hospital. The patient is said to have head butted one of the EMTs before they transported him.


The man was taken into custody at the hospital while he was receiving medical attention.


The man was pronounced dead a short time later.


The NYPD’s Force Investigation Division is investigating the incident and are awaiting a cause of death.


The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
