Social Media Seller Robbed at Gunpoint

BRONX - A Riverdale man looking to sell his jacket on social media was robbed at gunpoint when he met the seller, the NYPD said.



At around 3:40 pm on November 11, a 24-year-old man went to West 242 Street and Broadway. Cops said the man met an individual on social media when he was trying to sell a jacket.


The seller met a man on West 242nd street and allowed the potential buyer to try on the jacket. That’s when the buyer pulled out a handgun and robbed the seller, cops said.


The gunman took the jacket, hopped on a gray Citi bike and rode away.



The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect riding away on the Citi bike.


The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion. He has curly hair, wearing all-black attire, and riding a gray Citibike.
