BRONX - A 60-year-old is recovering after being beaten and slashed across the face by a group of six men in what the NYPD is calling a random attack.




At around 11:30 am on November 10, a 60-year-old man was inside Devoe Park, across from Fordham Terrace. Cops said four men and two women surrounded the park goer and without warning began punching him. 


Investigators said the group repeatedly whaled on the man punching him throughout the body. Then one or more of the group pulled out a sharp object and began slashing the victim multiple times in the face and neck.

BRONX - The NYPD arrested a suspect in two vicious random attacks in the Bronx in which the attacker tried to gouge a man’s eyes out and slashed a woman across the forehead.

The attackers then ran out of the park and fled in two dark colored, four-door sedans. 


The NYPD released surveillance video taken of the group fleeing the park.
