Bronx School Raises Awareness for Breast Cancer Bronx Voice  October 29, 2025 BRONX NEWS - On October 24, the Mott Hall Charter School in the South Bronx was filled with more than just learning and laughter- it was glowing with hope, unity, and compassion as staff and faculty members came together to celebrate “Wear Pink Day” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The event was held to show support for those affected by breast cancer, and to honor the school staff, family members, and extended school community who have bravely battled the disease. Faculty and staff proudly wore shades of pink to symbolize their commitment to raising awareness and standing in solidarity with survivors, fighters, and families impacted by the disease. BRONX - A 16-year-old is recovering after being stabbed in the stomach during a fight across from Fordham University. 



At around 11:35 am on October 6, a 16-year-old male had gotten into physical fight with a group of other youths at 406 East Fordham Road at Fordham Plaza. During the fight, one in the group pulled out a knife and stabbed the teen in the stomach. 


The attackers fled westbound on Fordham Road.

NEW YORK - Cops are searching for a subway cell phone snatcher who ripped off 4 people in two boroughs, within a 24-hour period.

EMS took the victim to nearby Satin Barnabas Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male who is 5 foot 9 and 170 pounds. He has as light complexion and braided hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
