BRONX - A Bronx man has been condemned to 15 years in jail and 10 years post-discharge oversight for physically attacking a young lady from the age of five until she was 11 years of age, prosecutors said.

“The defendant’s heinous acts caused irreversible harm to a little girl who will now suffer for a lifetime,” said Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark. “The defendant used his wife’s home daycare business to gain access to the child. No one should ever have to endure such violence and my Office will make sure that anyone who commits such harm against a child will face many years in prison.”

Lead prosecutor Clark said the litigant, Alberto Hernandez, 64, of Heath Road, was condemned Friday by Bronx High Court Equity Steven Hornstein to 15 years in jail and 10 years post discharge oversight. He will likewise be expected to enroll as a sex guilty party.

He was found blameworthy following a six-week jury preliminary of first-degree Course of Rape Against a Kid and Jeopardizing the Government assistance of a Youngster.

As per the examination, between June 1, 2011, and June 30, 2016, Hernandez, whose spouse ran the since-shut "Maria's Childcare" out of their home, mishandled the now 18-year-old young lady, in various areas of the home. The victim had been signed up for the childcare at nine months old, and her disposition started changing when she was 5 years of age. She announced the maltreatment around three years in the wake of going to the childcare, subsequent to enduring long periods of pain and harm to her psychological wellness.
