Flannel Wearing Attackers Punch Out Man Waiting for a Train- DA Says

BRONX - Police are looking for two men who knocked out a fellow straphanger during an argument at the Yankee Stadium subway station.




At around 8:30 pm on May 6, a 49-year-old man was standing at the mezzanine of the Yankee Stadium subway station on 161st Street. Cops said the straphanger then got into a verbal dispute with two other men waiting for a Number 4 train.




As the argument got heated it turned violent. Cops said the two men then began to repeatedly punch the straphanger in the face. 





The victim fell to the ground unconscious and the attackers fled the station on foot, investigators said.





EMS rushed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Lincoln. After he was revived, the victim was treated for minor injuries and is listed in stable condition. 




Police released surveillance video of the men at the subway station. Both suspects are described as males with a medium complexion and slim builds. The suspects are said to be approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, and approximately 30 to 40-years-old.


Bother suspects were last seen wearing baseball caps and hoodies.


The first suspect was seen wearing an orange or red flannel hoodie and a red Chicago Bulls baseball cap.


The second suspect was seen wearing a black baseball cap with white writing and a black, white and gray hoodie with a white t-shirt.
