Sicko Attacks 2 Young Girls as They Sleep

BRONX - Cops have identified a man wanted for the sexual assault on one young girl and the attempted rape of a 9-year- old girl.


Police released a mug shot of a man they have identified as the suspect in the attacks on two young girls in the Bronx. Police are looking for 31-year-old Ernest Robinson.


Investigators did not release any additional information on the suspect or what he had previously been arrested for.


At around midnight on March 11, a 10-year-old girl slept in her bedroom in an apartment building in the vicinity of Boston Road and East 166th Street. Cops said the child woke to not only find a man in her room but to find him rubbing his genitals on her buttocks.


The attacker then fled the building. It is unclear how he gained access to the apartment.


At around midnight on May 28, a 9-year-old girl was sleeping in her bedroom in an apartment building in the vicinity of Belmont Avenue and East 179th Street.


Cops said a man snuck into the bedroom and woke the girl. He then tried to rape the child, cops said.


The man fled the apartment. It is unclear how the attacker gained entry into residence.


Cops said the girl was evaluated at the scene.
