Moped Riding Chain Snatcher Robs Teen







Teen Robbed Near Manhattan College

BRONX - A teenage girl had her gold chain ripped from her neck by a moped riding mugger in Riverdale, cops said.




At around 3:40 pm on June 25, a 14-year-old girl was standing in front of 3900 Waldo Avenue across the street from Manhattan College. Cops said a man on an electric moped rode up behind the teen and yanked the gold chain off her neck.


 

The thief then rode away, cops said.


The victim only suffered minor injuries to her neck and refused medical treatment at the scene.




Police released surveillance video of the suspect.




The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion and a medium build. In the video he was seen driving an electric moped. He was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket with white patches on the sleeves. He wore a blue t-shirt with white lettering on the front. He also wore blue jeans with black sneakers.
