BRONX - Two groups of gunmen exchanged fire at each other near a Bronx playground on Saturday night, cops said.

Police released surveillance video of a number of suspects seen fleeing the scene from the broad daylight shooting.

At around 7:45 pm on June 24, two groups were on the corner of Tratman Avenue and Saint Peters Avenue near Westchester Square. The scene was across the street from The Pearly Gates Playground.

Cops said members of both groups without provocation pulled out guns and opened fire on each other. It is unknown how many rounds were fired during the shootout.

A 17-year-old male was shot in the back during the exchange of gunfire, cops said. He was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center by private transportation.

It is unclear if the victim was a member of either group of gunmen or if he was an innocent bystander who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Surveillance video showed a photo of three men walking away from the shooting. Two of the men wore red track suits with hoods. A third man wore a black hoodie with white writing on the back. All three men had their backs to the camera so police do not have a view of their faces.

However, the other group was not so lucky avoiding detection. Three suspects from this group were seen running towards the camera and their partially covered faces were clearly seen. The first suspect was last seen wearing a black and white track suit with a black face mask.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a white hoodie with the word “GAP” across the front. He wore white shorts and black and white sneakers.

The third suspect was last seen wearing a black balaclava with a white logo in the corner. He wore a white t-shirt with black pants and white sneakers.
