BRONX - Police arrested one suspect in the daring theft of an ATV off a moving flatbed tow truck in the Bronx. More suspects are still at large.

Police arrested 31-year-old Christian Peralta and charged him with robbery, grand larceny and reckless endangerment.

At around 7 pm on March 26, a tow truck operator was driving a flat bed truck on the Bruckner Expressway Service Road. A towed ATV was secured to the flatbed. In the vicinity of Ward Avenue and Boynton Avenue a large group of people on dirt bikes and ATVs approached the tow truck.

As the group encircled the driver, cops say several in the group hopped on the back of the moving flatbed. They released the ATV and drove it off the flatbed. The tow truck driver was not injured and he managed to snag photos of two of the four men stealing the four-wheel vehicle.

Cops say the ATV was recovered a short distance away cops responding to the 911 call.
