Teen Arrested for Shooting Up MTA Bus in Bronx

BRONX - A 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged with opening fire inside a crowded MTA bus and wounding another teen. 




Cops tracked the 14-year-old to a town upstate. Police are not releasing the teen’s name due to his age. He has been charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal use of a firearm and reckless endangerment.





At around 6 pm on January 21, an Bx5 bus was driving in the vicinity of a NYCHA Development on Story Avenue in Clason Point. Investigators said the suspect got into a dispute with a 17-year-old male inside the crowded bus. The 14 year old pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the chest. No one else on the bus was injured. 





The shooter jumped off the bus and ran.  


The victim was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
