BRONX - Cops are searching for a gunman who opened fire in the street a block away from the NY Botanical Gardens.
At around 6:47 am on February 11, a black SUV was parked in front of a shopping center at 2870 Webster Avenue, across the street from the NY Botanical Gardens and the parking garage for the Gardens.
A black sedan pulled up and a man exited it opening fire at the SUV. Cops say the gunman fired multiple rounds at the SUV parked by the supermarket.
The gunman hopped back in the sedan and peeled out. The SUV also fled in an unknown direction.
It is unknown if anyone was injured from the shooting.
Police released surveillance video of the suspected gunman and the sedan involved in the shooting.
The suspected gunman is described as a man in his 20s who has a light complexion, he is 5 foot 7 and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing black pants, black sweatshirt, and a black knit cap.
